OS Platform Interoperable

What operating systems are you going to be using in the future?

While Platform Independance has always received a lot of attention from software vendors, few companies have been willing to pay the price, nor mastered the technology to actually make complex software run on different OS platforms — and it is no wonder.

To create Platform Independant products is a major design decision and while F/X Communications hasn't always offered multi-platform software, then we have always developed our product towards that goal. Our solutions are currently available on:

  • Linux 2.4 and 2.6 kernels

  • FreeBSD [experimental]

  • Windows 2000, 2003, XP 32-bit, XP 64-bit, Vista 32-bit

  • OS/2, eComStation

All of our modules were written to be self contained and only depend on the most basic services from the host platform. This means that you can choose any of these operating systems based on your needs and our products will be available to you and will work in the same way.

   Platform independence
Buy and learn a single product that has the ability to grow with your requirements.

The knowledge that you gain from running our software on one operating system will carry over to any other operating system that you choose in the future.

These benefits help to lower the TCO (total cost of ownership) of our software over the life of the solution.
